When you select a contact from the Contacts list, the contact profile area displays that selected individual's information. Each contact profile has their own set of notification schedules, displayed below the profile. An example profile is shown on your right. This area is described in detail below.

Name

The name of the selected contact will be displayed in the header

Invite

If you are adding someone to your contact list, click on the Invite button to have Eyecopia automatically generate an email that will introduce your contact to Eyecopia and share with them the information they need to connect to your system with Eyecopia Remote. Before inviting someone to use Eyecopia Remote, you must already have set a password for the contact.

Set Password

To allow your contact to connect through Eyecopia Remote, they must have a password. Click on the Set Password button to open a dialog window. Enter a password for your contact here. You may change the password at any time, but you will need to communicate this to your contact or they will be unable to connect through Eyecopia Remote. You may use the Invite button to create an email which will notify the contact of the new password.

Contact Image

An image can be assigned to this user. This can be helpful if the user may connect through Eyecopia Remote. When the user does connect, a popup will display this image to notify you. You may choose from several default Eyecopia images or select the icon to browse on your computer for a custom picture.

Email Options

If you would like to have this contact receive email notifications or request event videos through Eyecopia Remote, please provide the information listed below:

  • Email address: To update the email address, clear the text field and enter the desired email address.
  • Email attachment: To change what is attached to the email notifications, select the radio button next to one of the three options. Certain options will be better for different situations and preferences.
  • Email size: If you are concerned about an event not being received due to the size of the video file, you may choose to set a limit on the size of individual messages. This should only concern those who are receiving video attachments, not images or text emails. To change this setting, click on the slider and move the bar left to right until you see your desired setting stated in bold text next to Attachment limit.

Cellular Options

If you would like to have this contact receive cellular notifications or request event videos through Eyecopia Remote, you should provide the information listed below:

  • Cell phone: To update your cellular number, clear the text field and enter the desired number.
  • Provider: If your updated cell number has a different provider, you must select the new provider from the drop down list box here. If you do not update this setting, you will not receive text messages. If you do not see your provider listed, you can select Other from the drop down list and define a custom provider. If you are unsure of the email format, please contact us and we may be able to assist you.
