Eyecopia 2.0 Help System
-How to Add a Camera to Eyecopia-
Eyecopia will automatically walk you through adding new cameras when you first install the program. However, you may want to add a new camera after Eyecopia is already in use. The following guide will explain the process.
Adding a camera:
- Open Eyecopia and go to the Setup page.
Connect your camera device. If your camera is directly connected
to your computer, such as a firewire, USB, or card device, then Eyecopia
will most likely display a dialog window, like the one to your right,
letting you know it has found a new camera device. If this is the case,
skip forward to step five.
If
Eyecopia did not automatically detect your directly connected camera
device, or if you are adding a network camera, click on the Add
button and a new dialog window will appear, like the one to your
right.- If you have a directly connected camera device, click on the Search button and Eyecopia will attempt to find new camera devices connected to your computer. Skip to step six to continue.
- If you have a network camera, click on the Internet button.
Then enter the following information, clicking OK once you have
completed this to continue.
- Your camera's address: This can be either the IP address or the domain name for your camera
- Port:You may change this if necessary, although the default is accepted for most devices
- Username:If required, please enter the username that will allow you to access this camera
- Password:If required, please enter the username that will allow you to access this camera
- If Eyecopia is able to successfully connect to your new camera device, it will display the Camera Setup Wizard. You have added the camera correctly and you may now use the wizard to customize the settings for this camera to meet your needs.
