-Eyecopia Introductory Tutorial: Part Two-

Create events in Eyecopia

The second step in this tutorial involves creating your very first events in the program. This page assumes you have completed the previous part of the introductory tutorial. Complete the following steps to create Eyecopia events.

  1. In Eyecopia, click the Monitor tab to go to the Monitor page.
  2. Look at the Eyecopia Toolbar at the top of the interface. The Eyecopia Toolbar holds the manual override for camera monitoring, event notification, and web publishing. To make events, make sure the button next to Monitoring: is toggled to the ON position.
  3. If the camera is close by, go and wave your hand or do a dance in front of your camera. If it isn't close by, send a friend to do this.
  4. Look at your Event Inbox, located in the top half of the Monitor page. You should see one or more rows of bold text appear in this area. Click on one of these rows to view the new event! You will see a still image appear in the Event View area on the bottom half of the page. You can then use the video controls underneath the still image to play the video.Event Inbox
  5. You have created your first events in Eyecopia! For now, toggle Monitoring to the OFF position on the Eyecopia Toolbar. This will stop new events while we continue with the tutorial.
