Eyecopia 2.0 Help System
-Eyecopia Introductory Tutorial: Part Five-
Manage events in Eyecopia
The final step in this tutorial involves managing your Eyecopia events. This page assumes you have completed the previous part of the introductory tutorial. Complete the following steps to create Eyecopia events.
- In Eyecopia, click the Monitor tab to go to the Monitor page.
- Click on the Create Category button in the top left corner of the page.
- Enter a name for the category, like Test Events. You can always delete this later.
- Select an image by using the arrows. Try the party hat image for this example.
- Click OK, and notice the new category tag on the Monitor page.
- Select the Assign toggle button, near the top left of the page. Make sure the button is highlighted.
- Now, in the Event Inbox, click on the one of the first events you created with Eyecopia (in step two of this tutorial). Then, while the event is selected, click on your new category button,Test Events.
- You have just tagged that event with the category Test Events. If you ever wanted to find this event again, you just have to select the Search button and click the Test Events category. The Event Inbox will be filtered to display only this one event that has the category tag. Go ahead and try it out, if you like.
You can also use Eyecopia to add notes to your events. Go to the area on
the page that looks like a notepad. Click on the notepad and type a
message, like "Here is my very first Eyecopia event! How exciting!"- Then, make sure your first event is still selected within the Event Inbox and click on the Apply button. Your new event has now been categorized and noted.
- Congratulations, you've completed the Eyecopia Introductory Tutorial! You now know the basics of how to interact with your Eyecopia program. Of course, there are still many features to explore and many neat things to learn. You may want to return to the Welcome Page and look at other parts of the help system.
