Eyecopia 2.0 Help System
-Live Camera View-
On the Setup, Monitor, and Notify pages, you will see a live view of one of your selected cameras. If no camera is currently connected to your Eyecopia application, no camera feed will be displayed. The live view area is included to provide a convenient status check of your cameras, as well as providing an intuitive method of selecting a camera to perform certain actions.
Live View Display
The display window for the live view not only provides a quick look at your system, it also provides several additional features.
Jump to Setup Page
From the live view displays on the Monitor and Notify pages, you can quickly jump to the Setup page, by clicking on the display window. The program will switch to the Setup page, displaying the same selected camera which you clicked on. This makes it simple to quickly modify the camera settings using the Camera Setup Wizard or just check the camera masking or motion levels.
Motion Level and Sensitivity Meter
On the Setup page and in the Motion Detection step of the Camera Setup Wizard, the live view display includes a horizontal meter. The gray bar represents the motion detection level required to start an event while the highlighted bar represents the currently detected motion level. If there is no highlighted bar, Eyecopia is detecting no motion. Once the highlighted bar exceeds the gray bar, an event will be created.
If you applied a mask to the camera view, Eyecopia will not evaluate the mask area for motion. Therefore, any motion that occurs in the masked area is not represented on this meter.
Record Now Option
To begin manually recording an event from the live view display, right- click on the display of the desired camera and select the Record Now option. To stop recording an event at anytime, right-click and select the Record Now option again to remove the checkmark and the event will end. You will also find this option available on the Eyecopia Live window.
Camera Selector
This feature is used to switch between connected cameras. The selector displays the name of the selected camera in the center. Underneath, on the Setup and Notify pages, you will also find the name and a brief description of the monitoring schedule. To switch to a different camera, click on the arrows on the right side. If the arrows are disabled, there are no other connected cameras. On the left, you will see a clock icon. This icon represents the monitoring status of that camera. There are three icons that may be displayed here:
This icon
lets you know the camera is actively monitoring and has been placed on a
schedule.
This
icon lets you know the camera is actively monitoring and no schedule has
been set.
This
icon lets you know the camera is currently inactive.
The Monitor Override on the Eyecopia Toolbar will override the status of any camera, but these icons will not change.
