Eyecopia 2.0 Help System
-Registering Eyecopia-
The Eyecopia free trial will allow you to access all features and capabilities of the Eyecopia software program for a period of 14 days. After this time period, key features are disabled until your copy of Eyecopia is registered. Please note, you should still be able to connect to your cameras and verify that they are compatible with Eyecopia. Once you decide to register your copy of Eyecopia, please use the process described below.
The standard registration process does require an internet connection. However, if you would like to install your Eyecopia license on a non-networked computer, please contact us and we will provide you an alternate registration method.
- Visit our secure Online Shop to purchase a license for the Eyecopia software.
- After completing the order procedure, you will receive an email
providing you with a license key, along with identifying the full name and
email address you must use to complete the registration. Then, access the
Eyecopia Registration dialog in either of the following ways:
- If Eyecopia is closed, open the program. Once you are presented with the Welcome dialog window, click on the Register button.
- If Eyecopia is already open, click on the Register button in the toolbar at the top right.
The Eyecopia Registration dialog window, like
the image to the right, will appear.- Enter your license information exactly as provided in the Eyecopia Registration Information email. We recommend that you cut and paste the bold information directly into the text fields, as that will remove the possibility of misinterpreting any of the characters or symbols.
- Click on the Register button. If the Register button is grayed out (disabled), then please check to ensure you have entered your registration information correctly. The Register button will become active when all the registration information is accurate. The registration dialog window will close and Eyecopia will open. You may verify that you have successfully registered by clicking on the About button and viewing your registration information. Also, you will notice that the Register button has disappeared and that the Eyecopia icon has disappeared from your video images.
Congratulations and welcome to the Eyecopia family, where peace of mind is now in sight!
License key expiration
For security reasons, Eyecopia license keys expire 14 days after the Eyecopia Registration Information email is sent. Of course, a customer's license itself does not expire, just the key we originally supply. Once a key is registered on a computer, you will be able to use that same key at any time to re-register Eyecopia on that specific computer.
Note: Eyecopia versions prior to 2.0 require that you contact us to request a license renewal for your computer if it needed to be re-registered. We suggest you upgrade to the latest version to take advantage of the latest registration features.
Transfer License
If you would like to transfer a license to a new computer, please see our guide on How to Move Your Eyecopia License to a New Computer. Please be aware that an Eyecopia license can only be used on a single computer and getting a new license key deactivates the old one.
