Eyecopia can run on any system that meets the following requirements
Software Requirements
Eyecopia supports many Windows desktop operating systems including Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows 2000, Windows NT 4.0, and Windows XP.
In addition, Eyecopia will require the following software applications to work with your system. These applications are typically already installed on your computer. If not, Eyecopia will install them automatically for free during Eyecopia Setup.
- Microsoft .Net Framework 1.1
Eyecopia and Eyecopia Remote are built on this platform. - Windows Media Format 9 Series Runtime
This is the encoding format Eyecopia uses to compress video files.
Hardware Requirements
- Intel Pentium III or AMD K6, 500 MHz processor or higher
- 256 MB System memory
- 2 MB disk space for application
- 45 MB free disk space or more recommended for event recording
Camera Requirements
Eyecopia currently supports all cameras that are VfW or WDM compatible. In addition, Eyecopia supports many wireless and wired network cameras. The choice of camera device can be challenging, depending on your specific needs. While we cannot recommend a specific brand or model of web camera, please visit our Community Forums to join in discussion of this topic.
Recommended Setup
While Eyecopia will operate well if your system meets the hardware requirements listed above, we recommend the use of a Celeron or Athlon processor with the Windows XP operating system for optimal performance.
