Eyecopia 2.0 Help System
-Eyecopia Troubleshooting: Eyecopia Crash-
"Eyecopia crashed on my system"
Under certain error conditions, Eyecopia will automatically shut down and present you with the error report dialog window. It is possible that other applications are interfering with Eyecopia, and rebooting your computer may help address this problem. Other possible solutions are to shut down other non-essential applications so that your computer is free to dedicate resources to Eyecopia.
Some camera drivers that are used for cameras connected directly to your computer, can cause Eyecopia to crash. This is often accompanied by a dialog presented by Windows asking you to send an error report to Microsoft. In this situation, we recommend you contact the camera manufacturer or browse their website to find updated drivers for your camera.
Eyecopia also makes use of the DirectX and Windows Media subsystems. We currently require DirectX 9.0c and Windows Media 9.0. If there are problems within these libraries, it may cause instability issues for Eyecopia. Eyecopia error reports will include information about the versions of these libraries to help us get to the root of the issue you are experiencing.
