-Eyecopia Troubleshooting: Not Sending Cell Notifications-

"I can't get Eyecopia to send cell notifications"

If you encounter this issue, your first step should be to review our how to send notifications guide. If you have followed that guide and Eyecopia still does not send cell notifications when expected, please review the recommendations shown below.

  1. Check that both the Monitor Override and the Notification Override toggle buttons are set to ON
  2. Check that you have provided the correct cell number in the Contact Profile on the Notify page
  3. Check that you have provided the correct cell provider in the Contact Profile on the Notify page. If your provider is not listed, you may be able to define a custom provider if you can determine the SMS format required. If you need assistance, please contact us
  4. Make sure that you have created Notification Schedules and that they are active for the current time period
  5. Make sure that the Cell button is toggled on for the appropriate schedule and contact
  6. Check that your internet service is connected
  7. Make sure that the camera which is supposed to be sending notifications is actively monitoring. You can quickly check this by looking at the status icon in the live view. Of course, a foolproof method of checking this would be to create a test event and verifying that an event appears in your Event Inbox
  8. Ensure sure that the cellular device which should be getting the notification is able to receive SMS messages
  9. Send in an error report if you have reviewed all other possible causes and are still experiencing this issue
