-Eyecopia Troubleshooting: Connecting Eyecopia Remote-
"My Eyecopia server won't allow Eyecopia Remote connections"
If your Eyecopia server is not allowing Eyecopia Remote connections and you feel it should, please check the following:
- Read through our How to connect to Eyecopia with Eyecopia Remote guide
- Verify that you have created a contact, set a password for this contact, and sent an email so your contact has the appropriate connection information.
- Check that you have created a notification schedule and turned on the Remote toggle button on this schedule to allow Eyecopia Remote access
- Be sure to test your
system to be sure you have configured your computer correctly to allow
connections. If, after you run the test, you see the red status
message shown below, then you have not properly configured your network
to allow Eyecopia Remote connections. Please consult the documentation
for your router(s) regarding port forwarding

- Check that you are using a DNS service if you have a dynamic IP address. If you are not using this type of service and your IP address changes, your contacts will not be able to connect with their outdated connection information.
- If the contact is still unable to connect and your computer is configured according to the above steps, the problem is most likely due to a setup or configuration issue on their computer. Please direct them to review the Eyecopia Remote Help System
- Send in an error report if you have reviewed all other possible causes and are still experiencing this issue
