-Eyecopia Troubleshooting: Video Quality Issues-

"I want to improve the quality of Eyecopia videos and my camera live view"

Your particular camera hardware is the overriding factor when seeking the best quality image. You may find that you can change some of the default settings on your camera in order to improve the image you are receiving. Eyecopia lets you access these settings by using the Options button on the Setup page in Eyecopia. You may also find that there are more settings that you can access through the software that you installed with your camera (usually on an installation CD that came with the hardware).

Please be aware, when you increase the quality of your event video, you will also be significantly increasing the size of the event videos

With Eyecopia, you can make sure that the quality of your videos is at it's best with the following actions:

Increase the quality by changing the video resolution of your camera

Many cameras provide video feeds at multiple resolutions, although some do not provide this capability. To try and increase the resolution of your camera, go to the Setup page in the main Eyecopia program. Make sure the camera you want is selected, then click the Setup button under the live video image. The Camera Setup Wizard will appear. Click Next to go to your Camera General Properties configuration step. You will see a drop-down list with the available resolutions of your camera. Select the highest resolution displayed in this list (higher resolution = larger numbers). If this list is disabled, then your camera does not support multiple resolutions.

Increase the quality by changing your Event Settings

Eyecopia provides two major features in the Event Settings area of the Setup page that help you set a balance between event video size and video quality. Go to the Setup page in Eyecopia and place the Video quality slider all the way to the right, at the Best quality, largest size setting. Then place the Limit recording to: slider all the way to the right, at the 30 frames/sec setting.
