The Contact page allows you to view and modify certain information that is used by the selected Eyecopia server to contact you. The owner of an Eyecopia server can decide when and what types of event notifications and access rights are given to each contact. To view your contact information for a different Eyecopia server, use the Server Selector in the Eyecopia Remote Toolbar to switch servers.
You may or may not be able to use some of the features on this page for a selected server because that server's owner did not provide those rights for your contact name. If your Contact page does not display the options shown on the right, it may be due to one of the following:
- Due to connection speeds and other factors, Eyecopia Remote may still be collecting this information from the selected Eyecopia server. There may be a delay while it completes this activity.
- The Eyecopia Remote application may be having difficulties resolving the settings for your contact name on the selected Eyecopia server.
Enable/disable email and cell
The first option provided by the Contact page allows you to override the schedule settings for your contact name on the selected Eyecopia server. Just check the box next to Disable email and cell notifications if you would like to turn off these notifications. This can be useful if you are receiving too many notification emails or text messages, or your schedule has changed and you no longer need these notifications. This option is best used as a temporary fix. If your schedule has changed permanently, you should contact the owner of the Eyecopia server and request your contact schedule be updated.
Email Options
If you have been given rights to receive email notifications, you may view and update the email address and the email preferences used by the selected Eyecopia Server for your contact name.
- Email address: To update the email address, clear the text field and enter the desired email address
- Email attachment: To change what is attached to the email notifications, select the radio button next to one of the three options. Certain options will be better for different situations.
- Email size: If you are concerned about not receiving an email notification due to the size of the video file, you may choose to set a limit on the size of individual messages. This should only concern those who are receiving video attachments. To change this setting, click on the slider and move the bar left to right until you see your desired setting stated in bold text.
Cell Phone Options
If you have been given rights to receive cell notifications, you may view and update the cellular contact information used by the selected Eyecopia server for your contact name.
- Cell phone: To update your cellular number, clear the text field and enter the desired number.
- Provider: If your updated cell number has a different provider, you must select the new provider from the drop down list box here. If you do not update this setting, you will not receive text messages.
