Eyecopia Remote 2.0 Help System

-Eyecopia Remote Popups-

Eyecopia Remote will alert you when new events occur on monitored Eyecopia servers by displaying the Eyecopia popup window. The popup window is similar to the Notify page in the main interface, but smaller and simpler.

Popup Activation

You can toggle popups on or off by either clicking the Notify Override Feature in the main interface toolbar or right-clicking the system tray icon and selecting the Allow Notifications option. Also on the right-click menu of the system tray is a toggle option that will auto-dismiss the popups after a few seconds if selected or leave the popups displayed if unselected.

Popup Information

The main purpose for the popup window is to let you know an event has occurred on a camera that is monitored by an active server. The notification displays the following information:

  • The date and time that the event occurred
  • The name of the camera that captured the event
  • The name of the server that is monitoring that camera
  • An image of the beginning of the event, with the area where motion was detected highlighted in a green circle

The popup window also provides a helpful shortcut. If you click on the image in the popup window, you can jump to the live view of that camera in the Eyecopia Remote main interface.

Popup Navigation

In addition to the notification information, you may also use the popup window to quickly review all event notifications by using the navigation buttons at the bottom of the window.

  • To go to an earlier event notification, select the <Back button.
  • To go to a newer event notification, select the Next> button.
  • To go to the very first event notification available, select the << button. Eyecopia Remote will remember events up to 24 hours; however, if the program is closed the event list will be cleared.
  • To go to the very latest event notification available, select the > button.

The navigation buttons will be highlighted if you can carry out their intended action. If the button is dark gray, it is disabled and cannot be used. For example, when you receive a new event, the display will always jump to the latest event. The two navigation buttons on the right will therefore be disabled, because there is no newer event to display.
