-Using Proxy Settings for Eyecopia Remote-

Windows usually auto-detects your proxy settings correctly. However, it is possible that the default information has been modified incorrectly or that Windows misinterpreted your settings. If your proxy settings are identified incorrectly, Eyecopia Remote will not be able to successfully connect to Eyecopia servers. To ensure that Eyecopia Remote works properly, you will need to check your proxy settings and verify that they are correct.

To check your proxy settings:

  • Open the Start Menu and select Control Panel
    • For Classic View, select the Internet Options Control Panel. In the Internet Properties window, select the Connections tab.
    • For Category View, select Network and Internet Connections. Then under Pick a task, select Set up or change your Internet connection.
  • Click on the LAN Settings button at the bottom of the window. Your proxy settings will then be displayed in a new window, like the image shown below.
  • If you do not use a proxy server, make sure the checkbox next to the Use a proxy server for your LAN option is unchecked. If you do use a proxy server, make sure the checkbox is checked. Then verify that the Address and Port information is correct.
  • If you are unsure about any of these settings, please check with your internet service provider to verify these settings are correct.
