Eyecopia Remote 2.0 Help System
-Eyecopia Remote Titlebar and Toolbar-
This page describes the title bar and toolbar, located at the top of the Eyecopia Remote program interface.
Eyecopia Remote Title Bar
Like most programs, Eyecopia Remote's title bar provides the title of the
application and the ability to close the application window. However, due
to the application's monitoring functionality the program does not stop
when the main interface window is closed. You can close the application
entirely by either holding the CTRL key down when selecting the
in the top right
corner of the application window or by right-clicking the Eyecopia Remote
icon in the system tray and highlighting the option to Close Eyecopia
Remote.
Eyecopia Help Icon
You can use the help icon (
) to open the Eyecopia Remote Help
System. By clicking on the help icon and then clicking on an area of the
program, you will open the Eyecopia Remote Help System to a topic
explaining that feature.
You can also open context-specific help by clicking on the feature or area you would like more information on and pressing the F1 key
If you just want to open the Eyecopia Remote Help System directly, just
double-click on the help icon ().
Eyecopia Remote Toolbar
The Eyecopia Remote toolbar provides you with many convenient options.
Server Selector
This feature allows you to switch between any available Eyecopia servers you have added. Click the arrows on the right side of the selector to change servers. This feature will affect any server specific information that is displayed on the rest of the program interface, such as contact information or sound alerts.
Add Server
To add a new Eyecopia server, click on the Add button. This will change the interface to the Add Server page, like the picture on the right. To successfully add a new server you need to enter the name of the server, and the username/password combination exactly as it was given to you by the owner of the Eyecopia server.
When you are done entering your connection information, click on the Connect button. Then select the Setup page and check the status of the server you just added. You will see an icon and message displayed that will let you know if you successfully connected and whether the server you added is active or not.
Remove Server
If you have incorrectly added a server, or if you have a server you no longer wish to connect to, use the Remove button to remove it from your server list displayed on the Server Toggle. If you want to access this server again, you need to use the Add feature and have your username/password combination.
Notify Override Feature
This feature allows you to conveniently turn on and off popup notifications from all servers at once. The button reflects the current state of the option. If the button is ON, clicking it will turn off popup notifications. If the button is OFF, clicking it will turn on popup notifications. To turn on or off email and cellphone notifications, you must go to the Contact page and select/deselect the Disable checkbox option.
